Chapter 1274
Yvette cried her eyes out while wiping her tears away.
"You're not my daddy! Mommy lied! Mommy said Daddy likes me! You don't even know me, and you don't like me either! You called me a little witch. You let the big bird eat Bree and even said to let it eat me..."
"You're Fleur's daddy. You like Fleur! You're not my daddy! You're not!"
"You don't know my name, and you're not away on a business trip!"
"Boohoo... Mommy lied to me!"
Bawling, Yvette broke free from Willy's grasp and ran out toward the exit.
"Yvette!"
Willy chased after her, not expecting things to turn out that way.
Yvette saw the familiar car pass by her right as she exited the building, and her tears fell like a never-ending waterfall right then, running as she waved her hands and shouted.
"Mommy, wait for me..."
"Mommy, Mommy, don't you want me anymore?"
"Mommy! I don't want Daddy anymore! Don't leave me... Mommy..."
"Mommy, don't go!"
"Mommy..."
Yvette chased after the car, out of breath from crying. Suddenly, a 'thump', and she fell to the ground, scaring Willy, who had been chasing after her, spitless.
"Yvette!"
Running up to her, he helped her up and patted the dust off her shirt, making sure she was okay, "Are you hurt? Don't run around. There are a lot of cars here!"
"Go away! Go away! I want to find my mommy! Mommy..."
Yvette struggled, kicking and punching him, still wanting to chase after the car. But fearful that she'd run into traffic, Willy didn't dare loosen his grip. "Lauren's still in Casterwich City? "He couldn't help musing, "Did she bring her here? What the hell's going on?"
Willy carried her into his arms and took her to a safer spot before he finally promised. "I'll take you to Mommy if you stop crying, okay?"
Hearing his words, Yvette stopped crying immediately but still stifled with sobs as she nodded non-stop.
"Then how about Daddy'll take you home to Mommy now?"
Willy was still at a complete loss when he brought her to his car. Seeing that neither Lauren nor Elijah answered his call, he had no choice but to drive directly to her mansion.
However, right as he pulled over, his daughter shouted, "Liar, liar, this is not my home!"
Her words stunned Willy, but seeing she was about to cry again, he quickly asked, "Do you not live here?"
It then struck him that she had never stopped him from entering the few times he came over. Could it be that she didn't live with her?
"No! This is not my home! I'm going to look for Mommy..."
Seeing that she turned around, wanting to get out of the car, Willy hurriedly asked, "Do you know your mommy's phone number or your home address? Do you know where you live?"
Downcasted, Yvette recited a phone number and an address.
"006, Block C?" Willy mumbled. Wasn't it Block A?
He then reconfirmed with Yvette. "You sure you have the right address, Yvette?" How could it be the same area but a different block?
Yvette grew upset at his doubt right then, and he quickly started the engine seeing so. "Okay, okay, Daddy'll take you there now!"
Not familiar with the area, it took
Willy two rounds and checking with
net
the security on patrol before he finally found the place. Who would've thought there genuinely was a 006 in Block C. The style was similar to Block A's, but the gates were different.
He looked over to his daughter only to see her already eagerly trying to open the door. "It's really this one?!" He mused.
Was this what they called 'hiding under plain sight'?
She had actually always been right under his nose. And he had been to this part of the city more than once, but never did he think she'd have two houses in one area!
Yvette's voice traveled to his ears right as he carried her out of the car. "Mommy's car!"
Then before he knew it, she had run toward the gates. "Mommy... Mommy..."
Meanwhile, in the yard, Lauren was all despondent right as she returned home. Right as she spaced out, she thought she heard her baby girl's and reflexively turned to the gates only to turn back around in a split second, knocking her head hard.
No, she shouldn't think about it anymore! It wouldn't hurt for Yvette to live with him! Maybe she might get an even better education! Though she kept trying to console herself, her heart felt as though it had been gouged into slices! The pain was overwhelming, unbearable, her world then, pitch black.
But just as she took a step, a more distinct call traveled to her ears. "Mommy!"
Lauren froze, but before she could react, a soft little bundle had grabbed her legs. "Mommy, don't go! Don't you want me anymore, Mommy?"
"Mommy, I'll be a good girl and listen from now on. I don't want Daddy anymore. I won't fight ever again; I'll be good in class and not make you angry. Please don't abandon me, okay?"
"Wah... Mommy, I want to be with you. It's okay if we don't have a big house, or I don't have toys. It's okay if I don't have Daddy or Bree. I'll be a good girl!"
"Mommy, don't leave me alone!"
"I won't ask for Daddy anymore! I only want Mommy!"
"Wah... Mommy..."
Yvette cried her eyes out as she held onto her mother's legs. On the other hand, Lauren finally reacted after a long while, squatting down pulling her baby girl into her arms.
"Yvette, why are you back? How can I not want you? You're my precious baby girl! I will never abandon you! I love you so much!"
Lauren wiped her tears away, feeling
exceptionally emotional; an
indescribable sense of regaining what was lost surged within her. But she got anxious immediately when she saw that Yvette's clothes were dirty and there were white streaks on her socks at her knees, noveldrama
"What happened to your leg? Did you fall? Did you hurt yourself? Does it still hurt?"
Yvette, however, smiled, wrapping her arms around Lauren's neck. "Mommy... It doesn't hurt... Don't leave me! I only want you..."
"Okay! Okay! I'll never abandon you again! Never! I only want you too!"
Closing her eyes, Lauren held her tight, feeling as though she had come back from the dead. There was truly nothing more important than this little one that came from her belly!
Willy was greatly astonished as he slowly walked closer, looking at the two, who were like conjoined twins.
Lauren carried her into the house, cleaned her face, changed her clothes, and checked to ensure she didn't have scratches on her before leading her back downstairs. Probably traumatized, Yvette clung to Lauren wherever she went, even the toilet.
Lauren felt bad knowing she had traumatized her, so she first instructed the servants to serve some fruits after coming downstairs, then made some snacks for Yvette before returning to the sofa in the living room.
What do you think?
